Recently Wikileaks has been the rage of the internet. Though it has been around as an entity for over four years, as of late the organization has been under constant scrutiny for the stances it has taken on several of the most controversial documents it has ever released. But lets face it, that is a political battle that I have no desire to take any part in.
So what is more fun than causing political unrest? Call me crazy, but I am going to go out on a limb and say that playing iOS games are MUCH more fun. Plus, if you are playing a game, you are going to be able to hide from all of this Wikileaks hullabaloo, right? WRONG! Just when you thought it was safe to surf the App Store again, SuperBoise the creators of last year’s extremely exploitative game Crisis in The Gulf, has decided to create a game inspired by the organization.
In Wikileak Defender, you play the role of a TSA agent trying to keep Wikileaks from getting access to your confidential information the only way he knows how: by sliding his finger… Here is a trailer showing what you can expect from the gameplay:
Is the game corny? Yes. Is it cashing in on the Wikileaks name unnecessarily? Most likely. Could it have been branded as nearly any other type of game? Absolutely. All of this aside, if you enjoy a good rhythm game from time to time, you may actually be shocked to find out that it can be fun in short bursts. Just be sure sure to leave your schedule open, because you will not be occupied for long.
