Taxiball is a spin on the Labyrinth genre that has you speeding through narrow city avenues in order to deliver passengers to their destinations. It’s not a must-have, but its charm and personality make it a solid buy for fans of marble-rolling games.

When creating dice you gradually learn what looks best. When something is produced that looks exceptional in motion, it’s a great feeling. I can see this being fun for everyone from young children to fandom enthusiasts to grandmothers who’d rather look at their darlings than standard pips on monopoly dice.

WordFu is the latest offering from ngmoco, the makers of Rolando and Topple. It’s a dice-based, kung fu-themed word game that requires you to assemble words from the letters you roll. The addicting and surprisingly deep gameplay make WordFu one of the best word games that we’ve seen in a while.

When given exactly the right starting photograph, PicTricks can create funny or interesting pictures. Like any image manipulation app, though, it requires time and effort to master, and will just as often frustrate as satisfy. It’s definitely worthwhile, although you can’t expect it to magically create great photographs regardless of what the author claims.

The Touchmaster series is generally quite good on the Nintendo DS platform, and while the games here are also good, there isn’t as much variety present. Furthermore, while the games Midway has included aren’t all that exciting, if you are a puzzle fan you’ll definitely find something here to like.

Crayon Physics Deluxe presents you with 50 levels of crayon and paper filled puzzling. You draw lines, boxes, and other shapes in your quest to cause a red circle to travel from its starting point to the ending point, which is always a yellow star. As the levels progress this requires more and more ingenuity, but the game is simple enough for anyone to pick up and enjoy. The included level editor adds a little longevity to the game.

i Love Katamari is a well done port of a game series that premiered on home consoles and was very successful there. The iPhone version doesn’t seem to make very many compromises and looks and controls superbly. It offers numerous levels of challenging and rewarding game play.

One of the most hotly anticipated games for the iPhone, and likely the last big release of the year is finally here. Rolando the rolling ball platform game has finally hit the App Store virtual shelves. It’s about time.
