If there is one thing that drives me nuts, it is wasting money.  Sadly, during my annual fridge cleaning sessions, I find myself throwing out far too many items that I had purchased with every intention of consuming, or prepared with every intention to finish.  This means that simply by being inattentive to my cooler, I have proven myself to be a wasteful hypocrite.

For this very reason developer Input Squared has released an neat little tool that will help folks like me keep track of precious perishable goods stored in the refrigerator. FreezerView will not only show visually what should be behind door #1, but even provide notifications when items are approaching their expiration date.  These are the kinds of tools that I wish existed when I was a bachelor, because it would have saved me a small fortune in curdled milk.  Well, at least I knew I had a never ending supply of cottage cheese...
