I suppose it makes sense that FIFA 14 should get an update, what with the impending World Cup and all.
Yes, the popular iOS football (sometimes we Americans can get it right) game has just been updated to include the World Cup Brazil national teams, new Matches of the Week to compete in, and even the Adidas Brazuca ball. I’m not much of a sports fan so I have no idea why a ball is that important, but it’s obviously something of a big deal so who am I to judge?

FIFA 14 is getting into the World Cup spirit with its latest update, which adds some tweaks and other goodies.
First, the game is becoming “more international” by adding in Turkish Language support. Also, an Origin login isn’t required to create an Ultimate Team – it is possible to play such anonymously. The controls and movement mechanics have also been tweaked for smoothness.
This free-to-play soccer simulation remains popular, even months after we first reviewed it in the Fall of last year. We were impressed then, so it is safe to assume this update can only make the game better.
EA Sports is bringing FIFA 14 to iOS for free this fall. It’s going to be packed, too. Over 600 teams from 30 leagues, online multiplayer, and an all new set of touch controls. It’ll also feature the popular “FIFA Ultimate Team” (FUT) mode, which will let players pick their own play style, manage their own team, and compete to earn coins in order to improve everything. And if that isn’t enough, EA SPORTS Football Club Match Day will add an extra layer of realism to your games by adding in-game stories pulled straight from the real world such as injuries and suspensions.
Three premium game modes (Manager Mode, Tournament Mode, and Kickoff Mode) are also available for any players looking to “upgrade their game.” Sounds cool, right? Well FIFA 14 will be coming to the App Store for the iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch this fall. Presumably around the time its console big brother releases in late September, but it’s just a guess so don’t quote me on that!
Nothing says “Holiday Season” like an Advent Calendar, right? Well the folks at Pocket Gamer, in collaboration with a lot of very generous and generally awesome developers, have set up a special one just for you, the iOS gaming enthusiast. Starting next Monday, 12/8, they’ll be giving away one top-rated premium game for $0, for […]
