Fiete Christmas, by Wolfgang Schmitz, is a beatifully illustrated digital advent calendar to share with your kids. Join Fiete in his apartment as every day offers a new surprise; either something to play with or to decorate with.
With a sandbox style game, kids can enjoy their digital presents as they build on one another. One day you might get a basketball; the next a basket to shoot for. And on the last day you’ll get to find out what Santa has brought Fiete, himself.
Fiete Christmas is free for everyone to enjoy on the App Store.
“Twas the night before Christmas, and up in the sky not a creature was stirring, not even a fly. When all of a sudden, with a bright flash of red, a present did land on poor Kribbl’s head!”
So begins the story of Beyond Ynth Xmas Edition, a holiday version of the popular iOS physics puzzler, Beyond Ynth. The original has gamers help Kribi, an industrious ant, as ants are wont to be, create paths to bring light to his home world of Kriblonia. The Christmas edition is back in the App Store for free. Only for the holidays, however, after which it will vanish again, at least until next year.
The game features five exclusive Christmas levels, and tells a new side-story which reveals itself through successful gameplay. The challenging and refined physics puzzles make this a great free virtual stocking stuffer, but be forewarned, while cute, this game is hard. It’s not the best pick for little gamers, but seasoned puzzlers will enjoy the challenge and holiday wrapping.

Garfield is taking a page from The Simpsons in Pixowl’s upcoming Garfield: Survival of the Fattest. And no, he’s not trading lasagna for donuts. The game is actually a sort of town builder (ish) from Pixowl where you’ll be putting structures together, forcing up to twenty different characters from the comic strip to work, playing […]
