Trism is one of those games that came from out of no where. While similar to a couple different genres, it’s has some very unique game play. It is also one of the best games released in the App Store so far yet you might not be familiar with it. Oh yeah, and it’s a whole lot of fun.
I bought Trism the first day the App Store was open. After seeing a demo of the game months before on my jailbroken 1st generation phone. But, I kinda forgot about it and stopped playing it. I just recently have rediscovered it and I’ve been enjoying it. The app has gone through a few revisions since first being released and has been polished to near perfection.
The basic idea in Trism is to match a series if 3 or more triangular tiles. You can move each piece in 3 different directions (along with all pieces in that row) to create a match. Three different game play methods are also included: Infinism, Terminism, and Syllogism. While Infinism and Terminism are basically the same game of infinite matching triangle, Terminism being a timed version. Syllogism is more of a puzzle game set with the same pieces. While the main method for moving is dragging, you can also set the direction that new blocks enter the game board by changing the orientation of your device. This will briefly flash on the screen an arrow that will show you the new direction that pieces will fall.
Also included are various special pieces that do things like explode, locking a piece, etc. All of the variations and game play information is covered in the very comprehensive tutorial levels. Also included are world wide high scores.
Trism is a fantastic puzzle game, one that if you like puzzle games, you must download. You won’t regret it.
