A lot of people out there are organization nuts. And one of the most popular methods to stay organized is with note cards. The iPhone version of this so far has been the bare-bones notes application that comes with the iPhone. The problem with that app is that it doesn’t sync to anything. That means you can only edit the notes on the iPhone and there’s no real backup other than what iTunes does.

RainbowNote allows you organization nuts to keep some pretty good and varied looking notes on your iPhone. Instead of the single look of the built in notes application, this one includes 15 different stationary styles to choose from. In addition, each note can be emailed as text.

The app includes some good organization abilities, though short of providing folders for storage, you can organize the notes by name, color, or date.

While RainbowNote solves the problem of backup by allowing you to back-up and restore from Google Docs, there’s still no true note sync — something that would allow you to edit the notes on your desktop in addition to the phone. Would love to see this — and shouldn’t be too hard to do now that they have the backup to Google Docs part done.

If you work best under the note card type of organization strategy and are looking for an iPhone app to migrate too, this is a pretty good option.
