Valentine's Day is upon us, and whether your spending it with a loved one, a friend, or going it solo, there's no better time to curl up with some chocolates and a good mobile game. If said game is on theme with the season, all the better. Here are some of the best mobile games to play on Valentine's Day.

Narcissus is hot off the presses, and perfectly timed for our Valentine's Day feature. You can play Narcissus alone, sure, but it's intensely difficult. Instead, save this game to play with a partner. It's a beautiful endless runner with a soundtrack that sounds like it was ripped right from a Commodore 64 game. One player controls one sprite, while the other controls its reflection below, timing jumps correctly to prevent their untimely demise.

If you're looking for something, er, a lot different for your Valentine's Day festivities, look no further than Hatoful Boyfriend. This cult favorite is a Japanse dating sim in which you're the sole human in a high school full of birds. You'll need to get to know each character before finding your own true love and finding out the truth behind this twisted world. It's 100% as weird as it sounds, but it's also wonderfully well-written and good for a laugh or three.

This beautiful sci-fi game sees you trying to recover the bits and pieces of your robot girlfriend who's been blown apart by a wormhole. While she's been scattered to different planets throughout the galaxy, your dedication will hopefully see the two of you reunited. It's a satisfying little adventure game, and as romantic as they come.

Another timely new release, Heart Star is an excellent choice for those seeking something more traditional for their Valentine's Day gaming entertainment -- the entire thing is bedecked in hearts and pink, afterall. Beneath the cutesy decor, though, is a well-designed platformed that will keep you hooked.
