Another busy week has come to a close. We played a lot of excellent games this week and now it's time to look back and reflect on some our favorites. Here are our picks for the week of August 18.


War Wings

This World War II-era dogfighting shooter is an aeronaut's dream. Take to the skies in the plane of your choice and take out enemy units in glorious fire fights. The game controls beautifully and is easy to learn.

DATA WING

There's quite a bit to the this top-down racing game. DATA WING uses its unconventional setting and aesthetic that tells an intriquing story that raises some thought-provoking questions.

Meshi Quest: Five-star Kitchen

Square Enix's newest mobile title is a . . . cooking game? The reknowned Japanese publisher dropped this little treat on us as a surprise, and it's quite delightful. Take control of your own sushi restaurant, serving up tasty dishes to your customers and upgrading your business as you go.

Technobabylon

Technobabylon is a stunning cyberpunk point-and-click adventure game. The game tells a compelling mystery story about a futuristic dystopian world full of cunning AI and some truly clever puzzles.
