Take control of a two-fisted detective in a broken world with Brok the InvestiGator

As I have mentioned a few times, I love silly, stupid humour, but it is even better when it is backed by substance, which is why BROK the InvestiGator hitting mobile is quite interesting. It has a name that makes you laugh, but there's a lot behind it.

The game follows the adventures of Brok, a former boxer turned detective in a world where animals have replaced humans. He lives with GRaff, the son of his deceased wife, in a world of two halves. The rich live in a protective dome, whereas the others struggle to survive outside amidst the ambient air pollution.

There are two ways to play Brok. First, you can use your brain to solve puzzles and talk to people, figure out and solve crimes through age-old point-and-click mechanics. Or, if that doesn’t float your boat, you punch your problems straight in the face with beat-em-up-style battles.

If you aren’t a fan of fights, you can enjoy a pure point-and-click mode where the action is skipped, or you can double down and get a friend to come along for the ride on the same device, but you will need controllers. However you choose to play, just beware that your actions will have consequences on the story, so choose well what type of animal you wish to be.

Having first graced the libraries of computer and console owners, BROK has racked up quite the following. Steam has it sitting pretty with a 98% approval rating, and Xbox owners seem to agree with a 4.8/5. It even boasts full voice acting from the likes of Bryan Olson from Streets of Rage 4, and Michael Kovach of Hazbin Hotel fame.

BROK the InvestiGator is available now on Google Play and the App Store and comes with a few purchase options. You play play Chapter One for free which will give you two or three hours to decide if you like it. Then each chapter, there are six, will cost $1.99, or you can get the lot for $7.99.
