If you have a Netflix subscription you may not have noticed the free games you have access to, because the company don’t do the best job advertising that side of its services. Nevertheless, there are quite a few good ones to try, including the upcoming supernatural mystery, Oxenfree 2: Lost Signals.

Oxenfree 2 is a sequel if you couldn’t have guessed that, to the 2016 hit released by Night School Studio. It was very story-driven as a mystery should be, and was incredibly successful, notching up a few award nominations including Best Narrative at The Game Awards, and Outstanding Achievement in Story from D.I.C.E, and won an Independent Games Festival Award for Excellence in Visual Art.

Set five years after its successor, you will step into the shoes of environmental researcher Riley Poverly. After hearing about some unnaturally occurring radio frequency signals causing disturbances in electronic equipment in her hometime, she returns to investigate and soon uncovers a history of ghostly happenings, which are rearing their heads again.

Oxenfree 2: Lost Signals brings with it a new story and a new cast of characters, which is sad for fans of the original but you never know, they might pop up. What will definitely be returning though is Night Schools' signature, naturalist dialogue systems, immersing you deep in the story as you try to get to the bottom of this new mystery.

When discussing the upcoming launch Night School co-founder Sean Krankel said: “With OXENFREE II: Lost Signals, we wanted to tap into the essence and world that made the original game so special, while immersing players in a brand new story with even higher stakes”

“This game has been a labor of love, and we can’t wait for players to embody Riley, shaping her through life-altering choices and overcoming supernatural challenges that threaten to destroy her future.”

Oxenfree 2: Lost Signals will launch July 12th, and be available to those with a Netflix subscription. Simply download the Netflix app from the App Store or Google Play, and you’ll find the games section in the menu.
