Genshin Impact, developer miHoYo's Breath of the Wild-inspired RPG adventure, finally has a confirmed release date for iOS, Android, and PC – September 28th.

This one takes a ton of inspiration from BOTW while serving up an anime-style cast and a totally different type of combat system. I've now played the game a couple of times during its various betas, and it's always been good fun. Its open world, fast-paced action, and heavy emphasis on plot allow it to work well as both a sandbox adventure game and a somewhat traditional JRPG.

I'm sure it'll also please those looking to push their mobile devices to the limit, as it's one of the best-looking games on the platform to date, boasting impressively detailed environments and a wonderful sense of scale.

Naturally, there's a sizeable pre-registration campaign going on where rewards will be doled out based on the number of pre-registered players. The top goal as of now is 3 million pre-registrations, and the current total sits at just under 200k.

If you fancy adding to that number, you can register your interest in Genshin Impact ahead of launch over on the App Store and Google Play. As I say, it's one of the most impressive mobile games I've played to date from a technical perspective, and while the similarities to BOTW can be a little jarring, the game also presents plenty of its own ideas.
