Stack Jump tasks you with building the tallest tower possible, though not through dropping blocks, as you might expect. Instead, you'll play as a tiny character, jumping into the air as blocks slide underneath you. Jump in time, and the blocks are added to the stack. Jump too early or too late, however, and you'll be knocked off your perch.
It's a simple idea, but that doesn't mean there aren't plenty of tips and tricks that can help you get a higher score. And that's where this guide comes in. We're going to walk you through everythihng you need to know to win in Stack Jump. So, without further ado, let's get on with it.
Get comfortable with the timing
The biggest challenge in Stack Jump is making sure you jump in time, and it doesn't help that the blocks move at varying speeds. It can feel pretty tricky at first, but after a few levels you'll likely start to get the feel of it - thankfully there's only one control to learn, so at least things stay simple.
Use other modes as your training ground
The game's base mode simply has you trying to build the tallest tower possible, and you stop as soon as you're knocked off. It can be pretty frustrating when you're first starting out, and getting knocked down frequently. This is where the other modes of the game become useful.
Although the mechanics are a little different in the other modes (blocks move at different speeds, you have to dodge fireballs), the level will simply restart if you get knocked off. This means you can simply keep trying until you reach the level goal, and get some useful practice in.
Have fun with the cosmetics
All right, so this isn't something that will help you win – but it will make the game more enjoyable. As you progress, you'll unlock various skins for your character and backgrounds for the main game. Mix and match them to create a combination that brings you joy.
Want to play as an onion leaping on a castle? How about a monster leaping on stacks of coffins? There's a variety of skins to choose from, so pick the set you like the best, and keep on hopping. Got your own tips to help other players reach the highest heights? Let us know in the comments!
