App Description

History gives us an accounting of God’s track record of faithfulness. Stopping to recognize, recount, and celebrate who God is, and what God has done is a biblical principle found throughout Scripture (See, Exodus 15-1-21; II Chronicles Chapters 5 through 7; Daniel 6:18-28; Matthew 9:1-8; Matthew 15:29-31; Luke 17:11-19; Luke 24:50-53; Acts 3:1-8; I Corinthians 11:23-26, et al.). These passages of Scripture clearly present the appropriate response of God’s people when God does something on their behalf. For over six years we recited Psalms 100 each Sunday morning! Why It is because “. . . the LORD is good, His mercy is everlasting and His truth endures to all generations.” In the year 2006, we started reciting Psalms 46 each Sunday morning! Why It is because “God is our refuse and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore will not we fear . . . The LORD of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuse.” In the year 2009, we started reciting Psalm 23 each Sunday morning! Why It is because the LORD is our Shepherd. . . Now we are reciting Psalm 103, to reinforce our commitment to worship and praise God, to review and reflect upon the blessings and benefits of God’s salvation, and to join with all the saints and the heavenly host to bless the Lord with our total person.

We must always remember to stop in these hectic days and respond with great praise and celebration for who God is and what God has done. It is when we review God’s perfect track record that we gain a deeper appreciation for the vision of the future. When we, worship and praise Him with our whole heart, then we are given the assurance that God can and will do the seemingly impossible! This is how we approach “God size” assignments - we approach these assignments with our hope in the miracle working and enabling power of God! (Ephesians 3:30)
