App Description
This interactive tool calculates size of insulated electrical conductors as per National Electrical Code (NEC).
Sizing of electrical conductors is based on design current, which is same as over current protection device rating. Adjustment factors for conduit fill rate and ambient temperature are applied to ampacity of conductors.
Tables in Chapter 3 of NEC book are used for sizing of conductors.
Proper sizing of electrical conductors is critical in design, installation and inspection of electrical systems.
This tool does not require any keyboard entries. It is tested with all iOS platforms including iPhone, iPad and iTouch.
