App Description

*** Lovely review from theiphonemom.com 14/1 2011 ***

"The Big Picture Book app looks like one my Miss J would enjoy. It showcases 83 colorful images in six different categories. Categories include animals, baby animals, at the zoo, vehicles, colors and fruits and vegetables. The pictures are large and in charge of this app, they take up almost the entire screen space. That’s what you want in a toddler app. Something big and bold to capture their attention. At least that’s what my toddler wants anyway. The image names are also seen and heard when the pictures are displayed. There are seven languages to choose from: English, Danish, Norwegian, Spanish, German, Swedish and French."

The Big Picture Book is primarily designed to educate and entertain our youngest fellows. With 83 beautiful, sharp and high-resolution images our little ones are allowed to learn their native language in a fun and interactive way! For easy learning, the pictures are divided into six categories. The app comes with the ability to switch language with eight languages covered! So why not pick up some words in a foreign language when they become too easy in the native language? This way, both young and old will have great fun with The Big Picture Book - knowledge has no age limit!

Choose a category. Tap the picture and text and voice will reveal what the image represents. Select the next image with a swiping motion or go back to the main menu and select a new category (or a new language).

To educate and entertain even further there is now, from version 1.1 , a memory game with images taken from the different categories. There is also a quiz game where the purpose is to find the picture representing the spoken word (which is also printed on the screen).

The six categories are: Animals, Baby Animals, At the Zoo, Vehicles, Colors and Fruits & Vegetables.
The eight languages are: English, Swedish, Danish, Norwegian, Spanish, French, German and Polish.
