β’ Transmit barcodes to a server using a HTTP Post request.

- using the built-in camera:
β’ iPhone 3GS/4/4S/5
β’ iPad 3

β’ iPod touch 2G/3G/4G
β’ iPad 1/2
For instant Wi-Fi transmission our free application "Thetis" (Mac/PC) or any VNC software is needed. The Computer and the iOS device must be on in the same network.
The Linea Pro and the Mobilogics support need additional hardware.
iCody is the first REAL barcode scanner for iOS since 2010 - ALL OTHERS ARE JUST COPIES! Replace your boring USB barcode scanner by an astonishing and powerful iPhone and iPad App. Scan a wide range of barcodes directly into any application on nearly any computer (like the Collectorz products). No server in between like other Apps do - pure and directly.**
With the built-in WebScan feature you can launch any website you like and scan instantly into form fields - directly in iCody. This even works with secured (https) and websites that needs login. WebScan is a great solution for your professional use with your own in-house website e.g. for your warehousing. And for this more professional use iCody integrates seamlessly with the external laser scanner accessories coming from Linea Pro (http://www.ipclineapro.com) or Mobilogics (http://www.mobilogics.com.tw). With these, iCody transforms your iOS device into a highly professional Barcode scanner.
For more specific needs use the new HTTP POST transmission mode: Barcodes will be send by HTTP POST to your server and iCody even waits and presents a feedback if you want to.
The included callback functionality lets iCody interact with other applications and websites using the icody:// URL scheme. So you could set up a Filemaker GO database and use iCody as an external scanner - also in combination with Linea Pro or Mobilogics.
Even offline without any connected computer iCody works. The scanned barcodes are saved and later can be transmitted, used in WebScan or callback, exported via iTunes, or emailed - one, some, all. This is best practice for doing batch scanning of a big number of Barcodes: Scan all barcodes β anywhere and anytime β and send them to the computer whenever you want and however you like.

*IMPORTANT: iCody needs the autofocus capabilities of the iPhone 3GS or iPhone 4(S) and works only limited with the front facing camera and the iPod touch 4G and the iPad 2. The scanning results with these cameras/devices can be improved by using an optional optical lens (macro lens).
