Rushing to the movies to get the best seat is an experience that everyone goes through at one point or another. Now everyone with an iPhone will have a bigger advantage of getting a better seat. With Best Seat in the House, the iPhone user can line up certain dimensions to gain the optimal viewing experience. By using Best Seat in the House the viewer can tell if he or she is sitting too close or too far away from the movie screen or television. Best Seat in the House can do this by using the iPhone camera to analyze the movie or television screen and measure its perceived size.
To obtain an optimal viewing experience, point the iPhone at the screen and try to get the edges of the screen to line up with the overlay image on the device screen. Just move closer or farther away to gain the “Best Seat in the House”
Best Seat in the House is an information based application based on recommendations from THX and The Society of Motion Pictures and Television Engineers (SMPTE). Have fun with Best Seat in the House and enjoy watching!
This app does not take pictures or record video. It uses the camera as a real time analysis tool only. Works on devices with OS 3.1 and greater.
