The Eighth EDCTP Forum will take place in Lusaka, Zambia, from 6-9 November 2016. The EDCTP Forum is an opportunity for dialogue and the exchange of great ideas between scientists, policy makers, funders, donors and global health advocates in the field of clinical development of effective and accessible interventions against these poverty-related diseases.

The Eighth EDCTP Forum aims to:
• Promote the support of African and European leaders for research in poverty-related and neglected infectious diseases, and increase awareness of the need for clinical research activities in Africa
• Provide a platform for dialogue and the exchange of ideas between researchers, policy makers, funders in the field of clinical development of effective and accessible interventions against poverty-related and neglected infectious diseases
• Support engagement between African and European scientific communities as well as partners from other regions in order to shape an effective and appropriate research agenda
• To promote networking at all levels.
