In every episode the bonus features are signalled in subtle blue text – videos, photos, illustrations, music and historical insight into this great time of change. The app includes the text and audio editions of Episode 1: Dancing Into Battle where, on the eve of the Battle of Waterloo, the Duchess of Richmond threw a magnificent ball in Brussels for the Duke of Wellington. Just after midnight, word came that Napoleon had unexpectedly crossed the border and Wellington and his troops were called immediately to prepare for war.
