Gold Detector app uses device built-in magnetometer sensor to register any magnetic field changes. Pure precious metals like gold, silver, platinum or even some types of high-chromium stainless-steel, are not magnetic. Your friends would be shocked! :)

How to use it?
1. Place the test object near device's top-left corner and start a test.
2. Wait until to progress bar lights fully green and read the results:
- POSITIVE - app has not registered significant magnetic field changes which means item is highly likely to be precious metal
- NEGATIVE - significant magnetic field changes were registered - item contains materials which already themselves have magnetic domains (like iron)
3. Watch your friends reactions :)
