Demain Saga goes for a spot of tea and crumpets as King Arthur arrives

Posted by Shaun Walton on January 23rd, 2024

Speaking as a British human, with my mandatory cup of tea in hand, we don’t really have much in the way of interesting mythology. Sure, the Loch Ness Monster, but in any other country, she would breathe fire. So, it is always exciting when a developer shines a light on the Arthurian Legends, which is what HAEGIN has done in Demian Saga.

The titular King Arthur from the legends has marched in the game, armed with his trusty Excalibur, the key that marks the next king of Elysion. Unsurprising, he is a melee hero who uses his sword and shield to protect and attack, with skills that allow him to buff his allies' Attack Speed or remove enemy beneficial effects.

Two mobile greats band together and announce team-based RPG Order & Chaos: Guardians

Posted by Shaun Walton on January 22nd, 2024

Abandon ye gods as two titans of mobile gaming come together to create a new team-based RPG, called Order & Chaos: Guardians. NetEase Games and Gameloft team up to create a fantasy powerhouse, with a beta set to kick off in a few short days.

Chaos & Order first came to life in 2011 when Gameloft released the original MMORPG for the series, which continued to garner critical acclaim until it shut down early last year. It did spawn a sequel, however, Order & Chaos 2: Redemption, in 2015 which is still going strong. Now, Guardians is taking the series in a new direction.

Do robotic battle for control of a dying world as KEK Entertainment announces Armor Attack

Posted by Shaun Walton on January 18th, 2024

From the massive mecha hits like Armored Core, all the way down to the PS2 Robot Wars game that managed to be utter trash but still great, robotic combat games are fantastically good fun. Looking to wade into this arena next is KEK Entertainment, with their debut game; Armor Attack.

KEK Entertainment is a fairly new company in and of itself, but don’t let that fool you, because they are packing some industry clout. They are staffed by veterans of the industry, coming from big names such as Ubisoft, EA, and DICE, brought together by a desire to make some AAA cross-platform classics.

Tennis Clash kicks of the year with latest event in partnership with the Australian Open

Posted by Shaun Walton on January 17th, 2024

There is no denying that Tennis Clash has some tight gameplay, but we would be remiss if we also didn't factor in the work the team did in landing some excellent partners, such as Tennis Australia. This is paying dividends once again, with Wildfire Studio's announcements of its latest update to celebrate the Australian Open.

The Australian Open is one of the most important events of the tennis calendar, as it marks the first Grand Slam of the year, where we can see which players can shake off the haze of that long end-of-year slog and food coma to do what they do best; smash balls at each other when making many a questionable sound.

The Whisperer Season launches in Waven and introduces a new character class

Posted by Shaun Walton on January 16th, 2024

Kicking off today and lasting until February 13th, the world of Waven is being accosted by a tidal wave of tiny soldiers, with the Whisperer Season now underway. Lead an army of small soldiers against the might of the Bontharians, and try your hand at Waven's brand new character class.

To dig straight into the headline here, you can now play as a new Iop. The Astramantises first popped up in an early access sneak peek release during the Albuera Season and can now be played by anyone. If you like them, pick up the special skin in the game shop, designed by Tony Valente, author of the manga RADIANT.

Yu-Gi-Oh Duel Links commemorates seventh anniversary with a landslide of prizes

Posted by Shaun Walton on January 15th, 2024

Ever since launching back in 1999, Yu-Gi-Oh has spent the better part of a quarter of a century in contention for the King of Card Games, and it is easy to see why through its constant evolutions, whether or not you agree with the new summon methods. Now, Yu-Gi-Oh Duel Links is continuing that legacy by celebrating its seventh anniversary.

To commemorate this landmark, all Duelists will be gifted a huge range of birthday gifts as a thank you for the support, including iconic Ultra Prismatic Foil Rarity cards, a whopping 20 card packs, tickets to trade for skills, characters, Gems, and special seventh-anniversary accessories, to show off you where here as the game continues into infinity.

Naraka: Bladepoint developers 24 Entertainment team up with Hacksmith Industries for a special project

Posted by Shaun Walton on January 12th, 2024

Despite the historic bad press gaming has received. I am sure if a meteor crashes into Earth it'll be the industry's fault because Sephiroth did it in Final Fantasy 7, we know that it is one of the best communities to be a part of, and the developers behind Naraka: Bladepoint has certainly added to this lately with an incredibly classy move.

JesseLHV is a YouTuber from the UK who was unfortunately born with only one arm but has rather admirably turned this into an asset through some rather impressive gaming videos, some people can barely build in Fortnite with two hands and Jesse is smashing it with one. 24 Entertainment, developers of Naraka: Bladepoint, noticed him playing their game one day, and felt generous.

14 Hours Production announces the release date for Tamagotchi-inspired RPG Yolk Heroes: A Long Tamago

Posted by Shaun Walton on January 11th, 2024

Back when I was but a young gaming Padawan navigating the tedium that was school life, something that was all the rage was those digital pets like Tamogachis and Digimon. You played with them, cared for them, and then inevitably accidentally let them die, and now you can relive it all over again as Yolk Heroes: A Long Tamago receives its launch date.

Yolk Heroes throws hundreds of years of biological study out of the window and sees players hatching humanoid Elves out of eggs under the order of the Fairy Queen. It is then up to you to nurture these young, vulnerable fledglings, before launching them face-first into relentless combat - parenting classes be damned.

It’s one giant leap for poultry kind as Eggy Partys’ newest season slips the surly bonds of Earth

Posted by Shaun Walton on January 9th, 2024

There is only so much chaos our band of clumsy eggs can cause on Earth, so now it is time to blast off into outer space with NetEase's Eggy Party. Outta This World is a new season that brings new outfits to earn, tracks to try and quests to complete, all without that pesky oxygen getting in the way.

To start off with the good news for egg enthusiasts, Eggy Party has now soft-launched in more countries. Citizens of Canada, Denmark, Finland, Mexico, Norway, Spain, and Sweden can now enjoy the chaos with English and Spanish language options available. And just in time to take part in the new season.

RAID: Shadow Legends calls in reinforcements from legendary hunters in new collaboration

Posted by Shaun Walton on January 9th, 2024

Despite being one of the biggest mobile games out there and for a time dominating every third ad on the internet, there hasn’t been anything momentous or groundbreaking to come out of Raid: Shadow Legends for a while. That is until Plarium announced this crossover with a world-renowned Capcom franchise.

The world of Raid is dark and full of dangerous foes, so it is time to recruit some new allies from a series that sees players facing down monstrous behemoths; Monster Hunter. These two giants come together to release five Legendary Champions from the Capcom vault, equipped with exclusive armour and weapons crafted from the likes of Rathalos, Zinogre and Fatalis.

Gather your friends and tackle the latest huge PvE raid in Blade & Soul Revolution

Posted by Shaun Walton on January 8th, 2024

To state the rather obvious fact, one of the best things about MMORPGs is standing shoulder to shoulder with other players across the world as you work hard to overthrow the toughest enemies the game can throw at you, and Netmarble has just extended a new challenge in Blade & Soul Revolution.

Blade & Soul Revolution is the mobile take on NCSoft's PC MMORPG Blade & Soul, a storied title that not only had this spin-off but also spawned an anime series. Revolution holds true to its PC roots thanks to its outstanding graphics and its massive 150 beautifully rendered cinematics.

Arena Breakout invites players to become vault crackers when Season Three launches

Posted by Shaun Walton on January 5th, 2024

Arena Breakout, which the fine folk over at Pocket Gamer recently dubbed both Multiplayer and Game of the Year, is starting the year off with a bang thanks to the new season three dropping January 19th. Slap on your balaclavas and grab those acetylene torches, because it is time to Enter The Vault.

As this rather enticing title suggests, you will be breaching a vault that contains the war’s most powerful secrets, hidden deep below an unassuming Television Station. You will need to pick a faction, and then team up with your new friends to achieve a goal shared by gamers since time immemorial; open the safe and steal the shinies.

Uncharted Water Origin rings in 2024 with a new Admiral and new Mates

Posted by Shaun Walton on January 4th, 2024

Uncharted Water Origin is making its seafaring a lot easier thanks to the addition of a quicker way to travel that costs a little but saves a lot. There are also new characters to recruit and an attendance event to start 2024 off with some smooth sailing.

Qi Jiguang is a Ming military man, doing what only a Ming military man can, marching menacingly to meet his match in a monstrous melee. In plainer terms, he specialises in combat with his skills, adventuring with a goal to build an army and write a training book to save his people from foreign invasions.

Run Legends launches in stores to get humanity moving once more

Posted by Shaun Walton on January 3rd, 2024

Let’s expose the worst-kept secret in the world; fitness is boring, but it doesn’t have to be, as Talofa Games has finally released its fitness RPG, Run Legends. It is a little silly, and a bit cheesy, but it aims to make running engaging and gives you something to keep coming back to.

The other is in danger from invading aliens, and the only thing that can save it is the thundering stampede of a thousand legs. These Sappers are draining the world's energy, and it is down to budding runners to defeat these foes with a healthy dose of fitness and fun.

Challengers Games announcing pre-registration for game based on party deduction icon

Posted by Shaun Walton on January 2nd, 2024

Challengers Games has announced a pre-registration campaign for its upcoming social deduction game titled iLLING, and it looks like it will be a cracking rendition of a legendary party game. This is Challengers' second effort, following Second Wave in a stroke of Star Wars numbering logic.

iLLANG is a take on classic social deduction party games such as Avalon, Mafia, or in this case, most appropriately Werewolf, as Illang is the Korean word for Werewolf. If you have never played, the general overview is one person is assigned the role of Werewolf, and it's up to everyone else to determine which player it is before they rudely chomp everyone.
