Challengers Games has announced a pre-registration campaign for its upcoming social deduction game titled iLLING, and it looks like it will be a cracking rendition of a legendary party game. This is Challengers' second effort, following Second Wave in a stroke of Star Wars numbering logic.

iLLANG is a take on classic social deduction party games such as Avalon, Mafia, or in this case, most appropriately Werewolf, as Illang is the Korean word for Werewolf. If you have never played, the general overview is one person is assigned the role of Werewolf, and it's up to everyone else to determine which player it is before they rudely chomp everyone.

This game is for 6 to 20 players and puts quite an endearingly chibi spin on the classic, as well as adding some action setpieces and minigames to the mix to bring the game into the modern world. The aim remains the same, with most players hunting the werewolf, but in this case, every player has special skills and missions that will assist in fathoming out the furry menace.

Looking at the trailer, it appears that the nighttime hunt for the Werewolf is taking on some Among Us vibes, with eliminations taking place in real time with everyone running around. If this is the case, then it will add a whole new dimension to the classic playstyle, where the Werewolf will have to be extra careful not to be spotted in the act.

Due to launch in February, there is still a month to get yourself pre-registered and guarantee yourself some milestone-based rewards. You could get 1,000 Gold for 50k registrations, ten Job Tickets for 100k, ten Gacha Tickets at 500k, and at one million everyone will get the Akira Character to play as, who honestly looks exactly like what a Werewolf in disguise would be.

iLLANG is available to preorder now on Google Play, unfortunately, Apple players will need to wait for the App Store version to drop.
