Sam & Max: Beyond Time and Space Comes to iOS

Posted by Jason Wadsworth on January 27th, 2012
+ Universal App - Designed for iPhone and iPad

Pro adventure game developers Telltale Games have released the newest chapter of their popular Sam & Max games on iOS. These classically styled adventure games that follow the zany exploits of the sleuthing dog and rabbit duo are generally split up into shorter, episodic titles, and the same is true for this release. Sam & Max: Beyond Time and Space - Episode 1 'Ice Station Santa' is the first of five episodes in this new adventure and in this episode, Sam and Max take on none other than the big jolly man himself.

This game will include a core story mode as well as a "Whack da Ratz" mini-game and a soundboard where players can craft their own quotes using character voices from the game. Sam & Max: Beyond Space and Time: Episode 1 is currently available in the iOS app store for $6.99, and is a universal app that can be played on iPhone, iPod, or iPad.

Telltale Games Puts 11 Games on Sale Until January 29th

Posted by Carter Dotson on January 23rd, 2012

Telltale Games, purveyors of fine point-and-click adventure games, are launching a 99-cent sale that they are describing as 'epic'. The sale, set to run from January 19th until the 29th, includes a total of 11 games. Included in the sale is the Hector: Badge of Carnage series, that takes a quirky, grotesque, and profane look at police detective work through the eyes of the crude Hector. All three episodes in the series for iPad are on sale, and the last two episodes are on sale for iPhone/iPod touch. The first episode for iPhone was published by original developer Straandloop, which likely explains why it isn't part of the sale.

The Puzzle Agent series is also on sale, for those who like their adventure games a little less ribald and a little more on the cerebral side, these games provide some fiendishly challenging puzzles. Both episodes are on sale for both iPhone/iPod touch and iPad. Finally, Sam and Max: The Penal Zone Episode 1 and Wallace & Gromit: The Last Resort, both for iPad, are part of this $0.99 sale until the 29th. Hit the break for all eleven apps on sale.
