We had an opportunity to review Clear a while back. It is available for $4.99 on the App Store.

Realmac Software Comes Clean About Clear - Moves to a Single Universal App and Will Go Free for a Limited Time

Posted by Rob Rich on February 18th, 2014

It's been a bit of a long and bumpy road for Realmac Software after they released Clear+ on the App Store last year. First there was the issue with removing the original version to make way for the universal build, then there was confusion when they put the original back up and users weren't sure which version they needed. However a plan is in motion to straighten all of this out once and for all.

The details can be found on Realmac's website, but the gist of it is that they're going to cut it back to one single universal app - making the original Clear iPad compatible. Current users won't need to do anything as this will just roll out as a regular update. For users looking to switch over without having to pay for the change, Realmac will be dropping the app's price to free for a couple of days over the coming weeks. If you'd like to be notified of when you can jump in and grab your free "upgrade" (of a sort), you can sign up to receive an email notification at the bottom of this page.

Clear, the app designed for building and managing personal to-do lists, has received a new update that makes the edge swipe capability completely optional. Also in the update are minor tweaks to improve communication with iCloud.

- By popular request the “Edge Swipe” feature is now entirely optional (if you miss it, you can turn it back on in the Settings within Clear).
- We’ve made some minor iCloud tweaks to improve how Clear behaves when iCloud misbehaves.

Elegant's Clear App Gets Upgraded To 1.1

Back in February, we were pretty impressed by the simplicity of To-Do list app Clear. It might have lacked a few complex features such as timers or alerts but that's precisely what worked so well for the app.

So the news of an update for Clear might make a few fans nervous. Fortunately, it's simply been improved upon without getting too complicated for minimalist fans.

The best new feature is the ability to shake to undo, allowing users to quickly retrieve anything they may have accidentally removed. There's also no more character limit so users can type as much as they want for each entry.

More intriguingly comes news that there are secret themes to discover and more inspirational quotes to be displayed once the user has cleared everything from their list.

It's the ideal time to give Clear a shot, all the more so as it's currently on sale for $0.99 instead of $1.99.
