Frozen Synapse, a popular turn-based strategy game from renowned developer Mode 7, will become a universal app and arrive on the iPhone and iPod touch at some point later this year, according to a report from Pocket Tactics. You can get the game on the iPad right now, however, and that version has received a plethora of great reviews.

In our review, Rob Rich says, “Frozen Synapse is a great addition to the iPad’s library. There are a lot of ins and outs to learn and remember but it can be a very rewarding and entertaining strategy game for those who are willing to give it a shot.”
Turn-based shooter, Frozen Synapse, has been confirmed by Pocket Gamer for a May 16th release. In this classic indie strategy game, you will guide a squad of soldiers across a neon battlefield, via the single-player campaign or multiplayer mode.
