Google has updated its Google Search app, which adds many new features to Google Now, reports The Next Web. Most notable are the new notifications and reminders that make sure users remember what they need to buy at the right time and place. Users can also take advantage of the new update by setting their favorite artists and actors in the app. This allows Google to remind the user when a new album has come out from their favorite artist or when a new movie is released that stars their favorite actor.

The update also adds cards and hands-free voice options to make searching Google even easier. Make sure to check out the video below!

Tech Crunch reports that Google announced new updates for Google Now, which is currently under the Google Search name. Google announced that they will add six card types, including location-based reminders, public transit travel times, and information about music, TV shows, and videos games. People can also use their voice to set reminders based on time, people, and location.

The update will likely be on the server-side, but we haven't seen evidence of new cards just yet in the Google Search app.
