Star Wars: Tiny Death Star - What Happens When the Empire Takes Over Tiny Tower

Posted by Jeff Scott on October 4th, 2013

Disney today announced Star Wars: Tiny Death Star for release very soon. It's a version of Tiny Tower based in the Star Wars universe. It's about time Disney started putting out Star Wars games! Though I don't think this is the first one I would have thought of. What do you think, is this a good first release for Disney and Star Wars?

The Empire needs your help! In collaboration with LucasArts and Tiny Tower creators NimbleBit, Disney Mobile introduces Star Wars™: Tiny Death Star™, a new game for mobile devices. Live life on the dark side and join Emperor Palpatine and Darth Vader on a mission to attract Galactic bitizens, run intergalactic businesses, and build an all-new Death Star. Construct unique Star Wars themed locations to attract iconic characters and species to your space station in this 8-bit style game. Star Wars: Tiny Death Star will soon be available worldwide.

This multi-platform open world gaming environment that crosses all Disney and Pixar properties has now come to the iPad. While we can't play the story mode of the console versions (yet), the Toy Box mode lets users play with worlds created in the game and use characters and items gathered while playing the story mode.

My Muppets Show Gets a New Stage, New Song, and New Muppets in its Latest Update

My Muppets Show has been an enjoyably goofy, Muppet-filled music box for the past month and a half but after so much time it was starting to run out of tricks. Granted I'm still missing a few Muppets in the kitchen (seriously, no matter what I do I can't get Rizzo and it's driving me nuts!), but I've been missing the simple pleasures of cleaning up a venue and buying decorations. Well not anymore!

Disney just released an update that adds a new stage, The Roof, complete with a totally new tune, some redesigned characters, and a few new ones. Namely Dr. Teeth and Janice. Before you get too excited about getting Electric Mayhem together you should know that Floyd is suspiciously absent, but that's no reason to avoid nabbing this totally free (and from what I can tell, totally awesome) update.
