Cuddly Free To Play Bumping Bears Comes Out Of Beta

Posted by Jennifer Allen on April 9th, 2012
+ Universal App - Designed for iPhone and iPad

Remember Bumping Bears at the start of the year? It was a cool mix of cute bear-rearing and real life socializing. Players got the chance to adopt bears to play and raise with on their own donut planet. It gets stranger, though, with 70 bear professions to aspire to and over 100,000 unique outfit combinations to discover!

Bumping Bears was only in its open beta stage, however. Now, it's been fully launched and there's a cute trailer to check out. There's also no longer the need to login via Facebook to participate in the game! Players can enter their bears into contests, as well as climb the career ladder and be nurtured. Oh and the outfit combination count has gone up to the quite ridiculous number of 30 billion (yes, billion) variants!

Kids in particular are bound to love this cuddly social game Bumping Bears. It's out now and it's free to play.

Fly With Me!: Flying To The App Store Today

Posted by Jennifer Allen on February 2nd, 2012
iPhone App - Designed for iPhone, compatible with iPad

Following a familiar yet addictive path, EA Mobile's latest release Fly With Me! is an endless runner - or should I say flyer - title.

Players take the role of a bird as they avoid hurdles like trees, geysers and Venus fly trap, while they also chomp their way through the many bees in their path. It's easy to get the hang of with regular taps to the screen keeping the bird buoyant.

The challenge truly lies in the chance to gain up to 3 stars throughout each level, representing a perfect score. There are also gears to collect, leading to the unlocking of an impressive robot bird.

45 levels in all are on offer to players, plus there's the inclusion of a Kid mode which comes with 30 additional levels, all focused on a friendlier difficulty level and with no need to eat bees to maintain altitude. It's an ideal mode for the younger or novice player.

Fly With Me! is out now priced at $0.99. New enemy characters and birds are promised in a future update.

Animal Themed Bouncing With Beanie Ballz Bounce

I'm a sucker for cute things, even more so when they're cute cuddly toys. This is how I find myself with a small yet adorable collection of Beanie Babies. This is also how a game by the name of Beanie Ballz Bounce caught my attention.

Beanie Ballz Bounce is a simple yet addictive game. The player must tilt their iOS device back and forth in order to get their Beanie Ballz to bounce and jump from platform to platform. Colorful characters such as Avalanche, Bandit and Gumdrop must avoid the evil Monstaz such as Lola, Trixie and Zelda. TY hearts can also be collected for bonuses across the multiple levels that include obstacles such as disappearing platforms.

It's the kind of game that kids are bound to enjoy and future levels are promised in an update along with achievements and Facebook/Twitter connectivity.

Beanie Ballz Bounce is out now and it's free to download.

Romantic Messages Using JustUs

Posted by Jennifer Allen on September 20th, 2011
iPhone App - Designed for iPhone, compatible with iPad

Long distance relationships are tough. Heck I've been there. It's horrible being away from loved ones for any length of time. An app like JustUs could take the edge off things however.

It's an app that allows users to receive reminders whenever their loved one thinks about them during the day. Fortunately it's not done through reading brain activity or anything like that, it's all down to the couple having their own copy of the JustUs app.

Set up is pretty easy with users having a private code to share between each other. Once they meet up, a bump of iOS devices together and the app imports a picture of the other half. Then, whenever one user opens the app, they see a photo of their loved one and the loved one receives a notification that they're being thought of.

It's that simple and really quite a cute idea. JustUs is out now priced at $0.99 per copy (as of course you need two copies!). Check out the video explaining it below.
