Where Winds Meet will be taking us to the Imperial Palace in May
Exploring the Imperial Palace sounds like it will be genuinely awe-inspiring
It's been an interesting time for mobile lately with recent releases. The Division Resurgence has been a successful mobile adaptation of the series, Battle Suit Aces looks fun, and Neverness to Everness is trying to move past that whole AI thing. And amongst all this, Where Winds Meet is celebrating its half-birthday.
Our Hexi adventure has ended, but Everstone Studio has a barrel full of content in the pipeline, starting with the Imperial Palace. This incredible-sounding expansion will launch in late May, with a one million square meters of royal court and ground coming to the game. That's comparable to Kaifeng, for scale.
3,000 NPCs will reside here, with a myriad of factions all intermingling for you to help or hinder. You can meet the royal family, build connections, and uncover sinister plots. As if there were any other kind. In June, there will also be two new game modes. Martial Path Domain is a 5-player cooperative experience, or you can go the other way, and dive into some dark tombs to eliminate other foes for rewards.

Meeting the royal family as a panda sounds amazing
Now, for the main reason I wanted to discuss this: you can soon be a panda. Normally, I don’t like to promote things that cost money, but this cosmetic only costs $0.99, so I think that's ok. It will launch on May 19th and will only be available till June 17th, so act fast, future panda brethren. Also, this summer, the Gauntlet weapons will arrive. Perfect for a panda, no?Every panda needs a home, and the hotly anticipated Homesteads system will provide that. In June, you can head back to Qinghe and build your own home, the dream of all people my age. And what does every house need? Furry companions, and luckily, they will also be launching in the future.
Where Winds Meet is available from the App Store and Google Play.
