Hitman: Absolution finally brings Contracts to mobile

Fully embrace the lunacy of Hitman with customisable Contracts

Hitman: Absolution finally brings Contracts to mobile

iOS + Android + Steam ...
| Hitman: Absolution

When Hitman: Absolution was first released, it was a little polarising. Of course, it was following the success story that was Blood Money; it had a lot to live up to. Which it didn’t, but it wasn’t bad. Some people just didn’t like the heavy focus on narrative. Hitman is the most fun when players are free to follow their darker desires.

There is something Absolution got right, however, and that was Contracts. This mode lets you create your own mission, more or less, using any of the game's maps. You chose who to eliminate, what weapon to use, set bonus conditions, and so on. It's very fun, and finally, the mode has come to mobile.

There is one caveat to Contracts, however, you need to complete it yourself first. No trying to publish an impossible, unwinnable challenge, this is not a Kobayashi Maru situation. Still, it is a laugh having to try to assassinate a heavily guarded person with a pair of scissors without being seen, dressed as a chef.

Replace fun with frustration with leaderboards

If you are anything like me, you need to perfect every mission and contract that you take. Luckily, or unluckily depending on your skills, Contracts come with an online leaderboard, so you can spend hours trying to score that extra point. In order to get the full rewards, you need to either match or beat the creator’s performance. Do this, and you will unlock weapons and disguises to use in your own contracts.

There will no doubt be thousands of these, so a good place to start will be the Featured Contracts list. This is a regularly updated list of, as you expect, Contracts from the Feral Interactive team, as well as some handpicked user-created ones. Or you could just directly challenge your friend to time-limited Competitions, and see who can clear Contracts in the most Agent 47-approved way.

Hitman: Absolution is available from the App Store and Google Play.
