I don’t think there's much disharmony between teams, but I will stoke it for fun all the same

Back when Pokémon Go first launched, there were wars over the three teams. The mob chose Valor, people who were confused about the UI accidentally chose Instinct, and then the rest made the right choice of Mystic. Now, as foretold one week ago, Mystics’ Leader Blanche is stepping up to lead the Quest for Knowledge.

The themes of this event, lasting until June 1st, are Field Research and Incense, so you are going to have to roll up your sleeves. By completing the Research Tasks, you will be granted encounters with this week's pool of Pokémon, including Krabby, Horsea, and Lapras, whom I think a lot of us quite like. Pokémons’ Loch Ness Monster is adorable.

When out and about completing the tasks, make sure you keep your eyes peeled for the special crop of Wild Encounters. Staryu, Galarian Zigzagoon, and the best Gen 1 starter, Squirtle, will be waiting to ambush you. Well, best if you don’t count Blues’ Eevee in Yellow. Or Let’s Go Eevee. The point is, I love Eevee. Moving on.

Active research or chilling with insense; you are covered either way

If you would rather kick back and relax, and with this heat, who could blame you, then pop down that Incense. You will find some special Pokémon sidling up, including Vaporeon and Cubone. Both fantastic Pokémon. Not competitive, but lovely little guys. There's also folk like Clamperl and Cubchoo sniffing around.

Don’t forget you only have one week to farm as many of these watery critters as you desire. Then the baton will be passed to Spark for Instincts' time in the sun. This one will have a big emphasis on Egg hatching, which, to be fair, is quite good. Gets people moving. Maybe Instinct is not so bad. Better than Valor anyway.

Pokémon Go is available to download from the App Store and Google Play.
