Pokémon Go is holding three weeks of Team Leader Quests

Like most Pokémon games, Pokémon Go gave you a choice: which team do you want to join? This, in turn, introduced us to the three leaders: Blanche, Spark, and Candela. Each has different styles and philosophies. Now, all of these will collide as each leader issues players with week-long quests over the coming month. 

We are kicking off with Blanche, of Team Mystic fame. O Captain, my Captain.  She will take the reins from 26th to June 1st, sending you on a Quest for Knowledge. Things will be getting blue as the likes of Squirtle, Krabby, and Staryu will appear more frequently in the wild. As will Larvitar. They wandered in by mistake, I assume.

Pop down an Incense, and you will soon be swarmed by Clamperl, Cubchoo, Horsea, Lapras, as well as Cubone, Larvitar, and Sableye. Does Niantic know what a water type is? Finally, knocking out a few Field Research Tasks will lead to encounters with Pokémon, including Krabby, Lapras, Squirtle, and Sinistea. I suppose tea is liquid; they get a pass.

And speaking of Passes, it is the GO Pass. Boo, tomato, tomato. You can spend $4.99 to upgrade to the Pass Deluxe for extra rewards, but let’s not support that. Instead, reap the free rewards and run away cackling. These include encounters with Vaporeon, Larvitar, and Lapras with a Blanche-themed accessory with a Team Mystic background.

As a quick rundown of the remaining two, Spark’s Caretaking Quest will take place between June 2nd and June 8th, whilst Candela’s Quest for Victory will last from June 9th to June 15th. We will cover those closer to the time, because that would be one long list of Pokémon to remember. Especially with Larvitar just kicking doors in and joining Quests willy-nilly.
