Genshin Impact is making Sandrone playable for version VIII

The Fatui in Genshin Impact is the main antagonist in the story, but as the lore unfolds, it's easy to see they're not as bad as they make themselves out to be. Apart from real psychos like Dottore, most of the Fatui Harbingers are pretty morally good.

For example, Arlecchino helps immensely in the Fatui storyline, and both Columbina and Sandrone prove themselves to be nice folk.

Speaking of Sandrone, if you've been playing the Archon Quests religiously, you should know that she fell in the battle against Dottore.

The team's attempt to release Columbina from the confinement was successful, but Sandrone didn't survive the encounter. So I had little faith that she would be playable, which is sad since I was determined to collect all Harbingers. But that hope was shattered long ago with Signora.

Surprisingly, Genshin Impact recently dropped Sandrone in drip marketing, meaning she will be a playable character for version Luna VIII.

Sandrone's body may be destroyed, but she's not human to begin with

Despite looking entirely human, Sandrone is actually a creation of Alain Guillotin. He made her look like his deceased sister, Mary-Ann. If both names sound familiar to you, that's because you probably heard of/met them during the Fontaine quests. Remember the little Oceanid you met in the ocean? The creature was alive because of Ann's memory.

Since Sandrone was not human, when her body was destroyed in the battle, it's said that her core was salvaged, so with a masterwork handiness, one can rebuild her shell and reinstall her core.

Whether this makes the same Sandrone or a different Sandrone with the same memory is up to you to decide. This entire process will also explain why the playable Sandrone has a different design compared to her NPC counterparts.

True to her Snezhnaya homeland, she will have the Cryo Element, so you can expect her to be relevant for the upcoming Cryo reactions in Snezhnaya.
