I don’t have nearly enough PokéBalls to deal with this, I need to camp at a PokéStop

Pokémon is celebrating its 30th birthday this year, and today Nintendo hosted their Pokémon Presents showcase full of interesting little tidbits. Of course, Winds and Waves got their reveal, and Pokopia is looking as cute as ever. But our world of mobile delights also had a few surprises in store, as Pokémon GO celebrates a milestone of its own.

I am not sure where the time has gone, but Pokémon GO turns 10 this year. It feels like only yesterday when we were all gathering for our first local raid events. It was lovely going along with my then-small nephews and seeing their excitement, but I digress. Pokémon GO is celebrating and has invited all of its friends.

A massive selection of Pokémon that have been available in GO in the past will return this year, giving us all the opportunity to fill up our Pokedex. I particularly enjoy that they decided to demonstrate this in the trailer by showing how Katamari Damacy would have looked if it were set in a Poké Center.

Pokémon GO goes All Out

This big meeting of the many minds will come to a head much sooner than you would think. The Pokémon 30th Anniversary: All Out event will take place from March 7th to March 9th. During this, you will encounter almost all Pokémon that have ever been in the game. This sadly does not include Mythicals, Ultra Beasts, or certain ones not usually found in the wild, like Smeargle, Zoroark, Spewpa, etc. Ones that had an event or special feature of some kind.

You can, however, encounter Pikachus wearing many a hat in One-Star raids, so that is something. There will also be some Legendaries and Ultra Beasts popping up in Five-Star Raids, such as Deoxys, Articuno, and Nihilrgo, along with a few region-locked ones. Buzzlewole in The Americas and Greenland, Celesteela in the Southern Hemisphere. You can find the full list in the blog post.

One last big feature of this event: there will be no limit to the number of GO Pass points you can collect per day. So, download Pokémon Go from the App Store and Google Play, and speed through that stupid pass. You can also use promo code GOTOURKALOS for a special encounter with a selectable Pokémon.

It expires on March 2nd, so act quite quickly.
