Pokémon GO introduces its next season as Memories in Motion
Does swapping paid tickets to a GO Pass with a Deluxe tier actually change anything?
I feel like we have given too much space to Pokémon GO lately, so why stop now!?
Are we biased because I get to walk around with a Lucario? Absolutely. The developers have announced that the game's next season, Memories in Motion, will be arriving on March 3rd, and it is packing a couple of interesting features.
What is Memories in Motion bringing to Pokemon GO?
First, let’s look at what Memories in Motion is changing. Event pacing will be adjusted to a more regular schedule, and weekend events will move to Saturdays. Most interestingly, is that events are going to move away from paid tickets to event GO Passes. There is a free track and a Deluxe paid version, so there is still a catch, of course.Speaking of catching, do you want a Volcanion? Well, you can soon get one for free! Starting March 3rd, all players will receive the Pressure Rising Special Research story for free. Power through, and you will encounter the Mythical Volcanion, which you can catch and make do your bidding. Even better, the Special Research does not expire. Perfect if, like me, your concentration is terrible.

Now, I would like to say I really don’t like the vast majority of shiny Pokémon; they look awful. Originals all the way. Having said that, shiny hunter rejoice. Provided they have had their shiny debut, evolved Pokémon in the wild can now be caught as a shiny. There is also an increased chance of getting a shiny in a Raid Battle or Egg hatching.
Finally, Pokémon caught from Team Rocket can be shiny new too. Great news for people who love their friends looking ill.
Lastly, there will be something to do every day thanks to Daily Discoveries. These will be events like Friendship Friday, offering two Special Trades and an increased chance for a Lucky Trade, or Showcase Tuesday, letting you show off your Pokémon at PokeStops. You can find the full list on the official blog post.
Pokémon GO is available from the App Store and Google Play.
