Duet Night Abyss is wrapping up the Huaxu adventure in The Firmament Unbound next month

If you can get past the fact that you might get malware playing it, more on that later, then Duet Night Abyss seems like a solid game. A gatcha without the gambling element, what's not to love? And soon there will be more to enjoy, thanks to The Firmament Unbound, coming next month.

On April 7th, our journey through Hauxu shall reach its crescendo. The story plays out across five new regions: the Outer Peaks, Youlai Alley, the Taixu Mausoleum, the Hall of Adjudication, and the capital Haojing. The Grand Incense Rite will be carried out, and you will need to confront Lord Argent.

Happily, you can use the Taixu Rover mount, a flying sword, to potentially just spear him with. Unlikely, but pretty funny if that's a hidden mechanic. If you must have an honorable battle, then you can call upon two new allies in Su Yi and Camilla.

Su Yi is an aerial combat specialist strapped with a variety of mechs and the Fledgling’s Gleam shotgun. They have mechs, I am sold. Camilla will arrive a little late, on May 5th, with an unacceptable lack of robots. Instead, she will bring the Dregs of Glimmer assault rifle, and is therefore relegated to the bin. 

Duet Night Abyss has a shaky security history

Personally, I would wait a few days before updating. Twice recently, DNA has infected players with Malware during an update. Back in February, some players were greeted with a hilarious message basically saying, “play Genshin instead." This was not enough of a warning for Pan Studio, however, as earlier this month, a more malicious malware, a keystroke logger, was distributed through DNA updates.

I do hope that the developers took the second one to heart. There was a “whoops” gift of 10 pulls for cosmetics, but fake outfits for real data is not a trade I want to make. You can try to download Duet Night Abyss from the App Store and Google Play if you are feeling lucky, but make sure you have a strong antivirus, just in case. There are also three codes to claim for free goodies: THEFIRMAMENTUNBOND, THEGRANDINCENSERITE, and WILLBENEATHTHEWINGS.

Hopefully, they are virus-free.
