Duet Night Abyss reveals first major update with a massive new region

I have said it before, I will say it again, and I will continue to do so until my dying days: I love this wave of the Action RPGs that strip out the Gachas. One of the biggest names in this crop is Duet Night Abyss, whose developers, Pan Studio, took to the Game Award stage and announced an upcoming update.

But not just any update, no. Huaxu: The Wind Awakening is the first major expansion-style update for Duet Night Abyss, introducing us to a whole new land. We will be heading into Huaxu, and the Eastern-style land will have stunning visuals, enchanted textures, and refined lighting. All fancy ways of saying it's very pretty.

Even better, we will be heading into Huaxu with six new characters. And did I mention that there are no Gachas? Yes? Well, again, there are no banners. That means you can pick up the likes of swordsman Kezhou and healer Fushu for nothing. In fact, Fushu is unlocked via the Immersive Theatre event, as is her Tidal Repose outfit. 

Sometimes, though, you will run into that one pesky boss that you can’t conquer, no matter the number of free characters you throw at them. Luckily for these cases, co-op multiplayer has been unlocked across all regions. Now you can explore together, take on commissions, or tackle Nocturnal Echoes boss fights.

Now, co-op is all well and good, but what if you just love to complete? Well, The Phoxhunter Summit is the answer to your dreams. This is a ranking system that offers new challenges to complete and rewards to collect. And if it is rewards you enjoy, then you are in luck.
