Tomb Busters open pre-registrations ahead of launch next month

With all the big-name releases lately, like Control: Ultimate Edition on the App Store or Neverness to Everness this week, it would be easy to overlook the indies. Which is a huge shame, because some of them look amazing. Like Tomb Busters, which is due out next month, and is incredibly interesting.

Tomb Busters has a rather intriguing premise and a striking art style. Developers Giant Games are the “first multiplayer co-op comedy-horror game”. I feel that something like Repo with friends would disagree with that first, but still, it has my attention. 

Let's discuss the looks. Tomb Busters is what would happen if Coraline or Six from Little Nightmares had an Anime-eske glow up and started raiding tombs. You will be delving into ancient Chinese-style structures, looking for treasure, but like many places like this, there's more monsters than gold.

If it's so scary, why is everyone dancing?

Happily, you can invite up to three friends, a number that Giant Games thinks will turn this into a comedy. Probably because everyone will be using the game's dances and emotes to taunt the ghosts before the supernatural entity eats one of them. Playing it solo gives you the proper horror adventure. 

It is just the things that go bump in the night that might get you. There are traps aplenty to stumble into, or that good old reliable, getting lost in a maze. Luckily, the Supernatural Company, which you have been drafted into, has an armory of tools for offense, support, or exploration. 

If you are interested, pre-registrations are available now on the App Store and Google Play. There are a few Milestone rewards available, including the possibility of a dumb chicken hat at 500k. I want that. Tomb Busters is expected to release on May 27th, which is both my birthday and the release date of 007 First Light. Such an esteemed company to be in.
