Not a single fancy-dressed Eevee in sight, the trevasty...

On Monday, we covered what was coming in part 1 of Pokémon GO’s Halloween event, and I mentioned I would quite like an Eevee in a witch hat. Well, it appears that the Pokémon Company read that, and chose to taunt me with it, because whilst we are getting Pokémon in hats, Eevee is not one.

In fact, it is the exact hat I imagined! A witch hat! But instead, it shall be sat upon the heads of Teddiursa, Ursaring, and Ursaluna between October 27th and November 2nd. To be fair, seeing Ursaring and Ursaluna in a cute witch hat is going to be very funny, so I suppose we can let them off with a warning.

We also have another piece of headwear coming our way, with Noibat and Noivern set to spot a nice headband. They don’t make hats with big enough ear holes, I imagine. Of course, that limelight-hogging mouse has to also get in on the fun. Pikachu and Piplup will appear in one-star raids in a Halloween Mischief costume, whereas in three-star raids, Drifblim will be wearing the same, and Gengar will sport a Tricks & Treats costume.

If you aren't a raider, don't fret too much. There will be event-themed Field Research tasks that will lead you to a host of fancy-dressed friends. You can get the special Pikachu, Noibat, and Teddiursa mentioned above, as well as two other special guests. Both Forakie and Rowlet will pop up in a Pokémon Halloween costume, which is just vague enough to be incredibly alluring.

You might want to hold onto this research until October 31st, however. For one day only, costumed Pokémon will have a chance to drop either Rare Candy or Rare Candy XL when caught with Nice Throws or better. Plus, there will be a higher chance that they will be shiny. Much better than trick or treating in the cold.

Pokémon GO is available to download from the App Store and Google Play.
