I shall admit, I have not been keeping up with the latest batches of new Pokémon. The Switch era has really put me off, so they have passed me by, which is why the latest Pokémon GO event art caught me off guard. Spidops looks incredibly off-putting.

Onto the important stuff, Enchanted Hollow. Despite the name, it is not a Halloween event; it will take place between November 4th and the 9th. It is an arachnophobe's worst nightmare, focusing on Tarountula and Spidops. During the event, you will get twice the XP from PokéStop spinning and enjoy twice the Lure Module duration.

It isn't just spiders under the canopy, as Shiny Paras and Shiny Stantler will show up more often than usual. You can also find more Nickits, the adorable little fellas. If you come across a Mossy Lure in your travels, then you might want to stick around. This will attract more Paras, Stantler, Cottonee, Petilil, Kerrablast, Shelmet, and Tarountula. You need 50 Tarountula Candy to evolve into Spidops, so you need to get catching.

Happily, Tarountula is showing up all over the place. Complete the Collection Challenges, and you will get XP and Tarountula encounters. You can also find the little guy in 1-Star Raids, along with Paras and Stantler. Step up the difficulty to 3-Star, and you’ll find Leavanny, Scolipede, and Drampa.

Next, let’s see what the Professor has in store. Event-themed Field Research tasks will be available, granting encounters with Paras, Stantler, Cottonee, Petilil, Kerrablast, and Shelmet. If you are lucky, you might come across Drampa. Basically, a Mossy Lure, but you have to work harder for it.

Speaking of Mossy Lures, one is included in the events Paid Time Research. It will only set you back $1.99, which isn’t bad, and includes the Lure, two Incense, three Lucky Eggs, and encounters with Paras, Stantler, Drampa, and, of course, Tarountula. Download Pokémon Go from the App Store and Google Play to prepare.
