Stella Sora launches with some of the most generous launch rewards there has ever been

If you have played mobile games for a while, then you would of no doubt come across Yostar in one form or another. They made Arknights, Azur Lane, and Aether Gazer. Well, they have moved further down the alphabet, and have released Stella Sora, with a hat-full of rewards for us.

Stella Sora is set in the world of Nova, where you awaken from a long sleep as the Tyrant. Which is a fantastic title, and just makes me think of the Resident Evil Tyrant rampaging in a fantasy land. Anyway, you will venture across the land, forming bonds with a cast of Trekkers who will do battle for you, as you investigate the mysterious Monoliths.

If you haven’t heard of Stella Sora, the closest comparison I can think of is Anime Diablo, or perhaps Anime Hades. You control chibi characters in combat and dash around to vanquish all your foes in semi-top down glory. Also, rather narrative heavy, with a focus on cultivating relationships with your Trekkers. 

The first Trekker to step into the gacha spotlight is the 5-star Chitose. She refers to herself as the blade, so as you can imagine, she likes swords. She is a vanguard character who specialises in the aqua-element, putting her water serpent skill and fast movement to very effective use.

You can also try to acquire the 5-star disc, Sword Against Stream. Side-note, discs are effectively passive equipment that grant stats and skills and the like. Sword Against Stream boosts your aqua abilities and adds a traditional Japanese-style melody as you play. You will also unlock a story featuring Chitose, and a piece of art that can be set as the in-game homepage. 

Having said this, I am of two minds about the Stella Sora discs. I do like passive equipment to help you tactically build the best team. But on the flip side, my sceptical side sees the side stories as a scheme to sell more gacha pulls.

We gamers are a very collectible people after all.
