Stardew Valley finally reveals new marriage candidates in version 1.7
I can already see the Clint appearance mods.
ConcernedApe may be working on the Haunted Chocolatier, but Stardew Valley still has a team of passionate people working on new content and updates. We know that version 1.7 is coming soon, and there were plenty of rumors circulating around it.
Among the rumors, two are the most interesting to me: we'll either see a rival marriage or new marriage candidates.
In a recent reveal, Eric Barone announced two new marriage candidates for Stardew Valley 1.7, Sandy and Clint.

Sandy was an obvious choice, but Clint had mixed reactions
Sandy is the lady in the Calico Desert's store. Little is known about her, except that she's friends with Emily. She has always looked like an eligible bachelorette, and since we barely know anything about her, she seems like an obvious choice for a new marriage candidate. Clint, however, sparks different reactions. While I personally see this coming, I was still hanging on to hope that it would be the Wizard. It's known that he has had a relationship in the past, but at least they're apart now. Meanwhile, Clint is known to be crushing hard for Emily, which would make the player's "I can fix him" arc an interesting one.
Throughout the game, you'll see Clint trying to approach Emily a few times, but he'll always get nervous. You can even find a note in Clint's bedroom that confirms his crush.
During the "Clothing Therapy" event, which you'll get after reaching eight hearts with Emily, Clint gets past this shyness to try Emily's clothing therapy. Emily said that he looks cute, which makes him sad, and he runs out of the house.
Once everyone is gone, Emily will approach the player with romantic interest. This is an eight hearts event after all, so at this point, she'd be one of the many people who have a crush on you. In this scene, Clint re-enters the house, as he's too embarrassed to be outside in his new outfit. Of course, he sees you and Emily and feels even worse than before.
Knowing all this, ConcernedApe has to have something up his sleeve to make him a notable bachelor. For instance, players certainly wouldn't want to see Clint's confessional letter if they end up romancing him, and it would also be interesting to see if you have to playout his scenes with Emily before he moves on to someone he can actually interact with.
Stardew Valley 1.7 doesn't have a release date yet, but knowing ConcernedApe, it's for the best, as he always waits until the update is ready before putting it out.
