Forgive any major spoilers for Persona 3; however, I am currently vibrating with excitement. Persona 5: The Phantom X is soon releasing Version 4.1, which will feature the special event, Met by Moonlight Part 1. And as you might have guessed from how we opened this, it is a crossover with Persona 3 Reload.

After school one day, Wonder, Riko, and Lufel head over to a little artificial island named Port Island. But on the way, strange things start to occur, and our heroes stumble into a labyrinth. In here, Wonder is beset by Shadows and is almost vanquished if not for the intervention of one particular blue-haired boy, the legend that is Makoto Yuki. Also, Yukari Takeba is there.

As Kenny Loggins might say - Spoiler Zone!

Wonder, Makoto, et al team up to explore the iconic Tartarus, and can also kick back at other P3 locations, such as Paulownia Mall. And now for spoiler territory. Skip to the next paragraph if you haven’t finished P3. I am intensely intrigued by what the timeline is here. At the end of Persona 3, Makoto was in a bit of a situation, to put it lightly, and I believe Persona 5 is set after. This could just be hand-waved away, but maybe we get a canonical answer to a long-held question?

Makoto sounds as powerful as he should be

And back to the spoiler-free zone. You can recruit the 5-star Makoto Yuki, and you must, as well as pull for his exclusive weapon, the Silent Pistol. Makoto is a Fire-attribute assassin, which I would never have guessed for him. Anyway, by gaining Moon Phase stacks through the use of skills and ally support, he can deal massive damage. He can also buff the party, so everyone needs him. And if you like, you can buy him a Butler outfit from the shop.

On top of all the Makoto of it all, it’s almost Phantom X’s first birthday, and nary a hangman in sight. To celebrate, you can earn up to 5 Platinum Tickets and 5 Platinum Milicoins by logging in for 7 days. From June 1st to August 1st, there's a boosted daily Hoot-n-Loot, with 1,600 Meta Jewels up for grabs over 28 days of logins.

Persona 5: The Phantom X is available from the App Store and Google Play.
