Winter's icy grip curls around Monster Hunter Now with the Roars in the Winterwind update
I am here, once again, to state the obvious; it is bloody freezing lately. Leaving your bed in the morning feels like a herculean task, and walking around with two radiators in your pants still isn't enough. It is no surprise then, that Monster Hunter Now has released its latest update, Roars in the Winterwind.
As the name no doubt tip you off, we will be hunting in frigid weather here. The new tundra habitat will play host to the monsters you might expect to enjoy the ice. Tigrex, Lagombi, Colcidon and Somnacanth will all be making their debuts, with Barioth, Wulg, and Cortos reappearing for the first time since spring.
One of the most vital Monster Features will be rearing its head, with customisable Palico available to support you in the field. You will be able to choose their name, fur colour and pattern, eyes, ears, tail, voice, and much more. After this, take them into battle, or simply pose with them in Palico AR.
There is another new friend also entering the fray, with the Switch Axe now available to equip. This handy piece of kit can change between the long-reaching, hard-hitting Axe Mode, and the rapid-fire Sword Mode. Perfect for hunting speedy customers, or massive hulking behemoths.
For more assistance in battle, the Friend Cheering feature is giving you a boost for simply being polite. You will be able to send and receive cheers, with each adding one to your maximum health, up to a maximum of ten. Might not be the biggest buff, but never turn down free energy. Cheers can be sent to a maximum of ten people per day.
Finally, equipment load-outs have now doubled, so you can now have a maximum of 20, and as we all know, fashion is the true endgame. So, download Monster Hunter Now from the App Store and Google Play, and fill those slots with your most stylish armour.
