Black Desert Mobile receives a huge update with a lot of sand
Just imagine the size of the sandcastles you can make in this unified desert
It's been a good month for mobile MMORPGS, with the likes of MU: Dark Awakening launching, or RuneScape celebrating its 25th birthday. Yes, that one is cross-platform, but I am claiming it. Not wanting to be left behind, Pearl Abyss has released a grand new update for Black Desert Mobile, complete with shiny graphics and a Great Desert revamp.
A little besides the point, has everyone been clamouring so better graphics lately? RuneScape did it, Warframe announced it last Friday, and now this. Games are pretty enough, focus on gameplay. Anyway, yes, Black Desert Mobile will be getting a glow-up, with the developer having implemented an early-stage graphics and memory optimization update.
Now onto the stuff that really matters, not just slightly shinier hair. If you go down to the desert today, you are in for a big surprise, as the areas have all unified into one single Great Desert region. The sand has revolted and spat out monsters with power ranging from 30,000 to 83,000 CP, so be careful there.

Happily, you can grow your own strength with Blessed Light Crystals and Blessed Fog Crystals now dropping from monsters. Excavation will also result in more Edana’s Coins, meaning a trip to the desert is still worth it, despite the dangers. Still, 83,000 is a lot; you might need some more firepower.
This is where Chaos-grade Runes. These are Black Desert Mobile's highest-grade Runes to date, and can be crafted with a +20 Primal-Grade Rune, 10 Chaos Jewels, 20 Ah’krad, and 2 Ambergris. They can also be enhanced using those Crystals that are falling out of monsters now.
To celebrate the update, Pearl Abyss is holding a few in-game events. A Three-Week Get-Together, events that feature cooperative missions that can unlock bonus events, so make sure to complete them all. Black Desert Mobile is available from the App Store and Google Play.
