Zenless Zone Zero kicks off the Hollow Champion competition in Version 2.7 next week

HoYoverse has announced we are just shy of a week away from Version 2.7 of Zenless Zone Zero, dubbed Champions Never Fall to the Past. Launching March 24th, Proxies will take part in the Hollow Champion competition hosted by TOPS. To help, there is one decent-sounding S Rank to recruit, and one that is a little boring.

All of New Eridu is abuzz with the news of the Hollow Champion, mostly due to the rare Porcelloy W-Engine up for grabs. Even the Public Security's Metropolitan Order Division is taking part, leading criminals everywhere to rejoice, I imagine.

One of your greatest hurdles will be Black Wolf Romeul, a challenger who can activate a barrier to increase his Crit Damage and Interruption resistance, whilst dealing DoT to your team. Anomaly damage can break it more easily than most, however, so let’s hope you have a few characters leveled up.

Now, let's get to the exciting part: the new heroes. Cissia is an S-Rank Electric Attack agent who gains 3 stacks of Venom when entering fights. These boost Cissias’ Crit Rate and deal damage, or can be used to empower her Basic Attack for extra damage. These deplete over time, but can be generated through EX Special Attacks. Honestly, nothing too impressive to put her over other Attack agents, it seems.

If you like to use Anomaly agents, however, then Nangong Yu, leader of the Angels of Delusion, might interest you. This S-Rank Stun character enhances the team's Anomaly Buildup Rate against stunned foes. She regenerates Downbeat over time, has more restored whenever Anomaly is inflicted on foes. Gather enough Downbeat, and she will whip out powerful charged attacks that extend foes' Stun duration, setting them up for a big burst window. 

She can also boost her squad's attack with her Ultimate, just for that added bonus. Plus, she comes with a new outfit to collect. Clearly, the devs favoured her. If you pick her up and happen to have the rest of the Angels of Delusion, you will unlock a special faction wallpaper. Or, you can grab the returning S-Ranks: Ice Rupture Agent Yidhari and Electric Attack Agent Seed. 

If you are looking for some light-hearted fun, head over to Lumina Square to lend a hand to Blaze at the Simmer Hot Pot Restaurant in a new activity. Or, test out your roster with a special mission from HSOS 6. This challenges you to complete a relay-style combat experience with three two-member squads. Considering I only level up one team, I am a little unprepared here.

Zenless Zone Zero is available from the App Store and Google Play. In other HoYo news, Honkai: Star Rail will soon be adding another Path for the Trailblazer. Perhaps my character will finally hang up his dancing hat, but I doubt it.
