It's Friday again, and here at 148Apps that means it's time to round up the best games that are currently on sale on the App Store. It's a really brilliant week for sales, so I hope you've been saving up your pocket money because you're almost certainly going to be chucking all of it away once you've read this list.

In fact it's such a good week, games have been trimmed that would normally make it onto our round-up. So, if you think we've missed anything we definitely should have included, then make sure you add a comment at the bottom of the article to let everyone know. And come back next week when we'll do the same thing all over again.

Forgotten Memories - download for iOS (now $2.99)

If you like your horror games a lot like Silent Hill, then you should definitely grab this one. It's spooky, looks gorgeous, and while it might not quite nail the psychological horror thing, it's still going to leave you turning on all the lights in your house to make sure there isn't anything lurking in a dark corner.

Xcom: Enemy Within - download for iOS (now $4.99)

Simply put, this is one of the best strategy games of recent years. The fact that it fits on mobile is impressive. The fact that it's every bit as good as it is on consoles and PC is nothing short of astounding. Lead a team of soldiers into battle against a terrifying alien force. They will die, but if you don't succeed, the human race will fall. No pressure.

Ovivo - download for iOS (now 99c)

It might only have come out a few weeks ago, but this excellent platformer is definitely worth picking up at its new, lower price. It mixes together a bunch of ideas from a variety of sources to create something that isn't just unique, it's uniquely fitting for mobile too.

Space Marshals - download for iOS (now $1.99)

Another strategy game, albeit one with its tongue pushed a little deeper into its tongue than Xcom. You're playing a titular space sheriff, and you need to stop bank raids and all manner of other crimes. Fun, fast, and deep enough that you're going to be working out the best strategies for months to come.

Kero Blaster - download for iOS (now $3.99)

A decidedly old school action game. You're playing a frog, and it's up to you to wipe out a series of infestations across the universe. It might not look like a rollicking space blast, but it really is. The violence is slick and challenging, and the RPG-lite elements here will keep you pushing on for that next gun.

Jydge - download for iOS (now $2.99)

A top-down shooter that's painted in neon hues and deep shadows. You're a robo police officer and you need to blast your way through any criminal stupid enough to get in your way. You're by no means invincible though, so stealth, cunning, and guile all come into the game too. It's tough, but in most of the right ways.

Mallow Drops - download for iOS (now $1.99)

Another sort of flip-reverse platformer. This one sees you controlling a couple of kiwi birds who've had their eggs stolen. You need to figure out how to get them from A to B without dying at the hands of some evil sheep. It's smart, it's cute, and if you love thinking while you leap, you're going to find a lot here to like.

Out There: Omega Edition - download for iOS (now 99c)

In the deep dark of space, no one really cares if you die. That's sort of the premise behind this interstellar adventure. Travel from system to system doing your best not to run out of oxygen or fuel. Or spaceship. It's funny, dark, and intriguing in all of the right ways, and there's so much game here for 99c it's hard to complain.

Implosion - Never Lose Hope - download for iOS (now 99c)

A big, bombastic action game that still looks impressive to this day. And the nice thing is it plays really well too. Smash out huge combos as you wander through a futuristic world full of aliens and robots. Mobile games shouldn't really be this impressive, but Implosion manages to pull off all of its moves with aplomb.
