Pokémon Go is heading to Paldea in the Twilight Trails season next month

I suppose we had to go there eventually, even though it is a terrible region

Pokémon Go is heading to Paldea in the Twilight Trails season next month

When Mega Lucario was added to Pokémon Go, it is safe to say the game peaked. They are the best Mega and one of the best Pokémon, alongside Eevee. And yet, The Pokémon Company continues to add more. Prepare to enter the Twilight Trails season, a land of birds and lightning apparatus.

This new season will kick off September 8th and last until December 1st, introducing us to two new Megas. Mega Staraptor will arrive for ornithologists who enjoy My Chemical Romance, whilst Mega Chandelure is showing up for those who really liked that one episode of Only Fools and Horses.

Don’t fret if you hate birds and haunted light fixtures; there will be more Megas to follow; we just don’t know who. Here’s hoping for Mega Eevee. For those who like their Pokemon big, not Mega, then Rhyhorn, Sneasel, and Sizzlipede will be getting the Dynamax treatment, along with more at a later date. I prefer Megas personally.

What’s that? You want even more new Pokemon? Well then, just for you, The Pokemon Company is opening the border to Paldea. No, not Palworld, can you imagine? Pokemon that debuted in Scarlet and Violet, such as Maschiff and Mabosstiff, will be available to add to your collection. Hopefully better ones too; they aren't the best examples.

Let’s go a little more retro now and hop back to Generation 3. The best, in my humble opinion. September's GO Pass will also launch on September 8th and will feature Latios as its headline. Completed missions will earn you a meeting with the legend itself. As a benefit to people who leave it late, like me, on October 3rd and 4th, there is no daily limit to the amount of GO Points you can earn. Perfect to cram before the Pass expires on the 6th.

Now, usually I would never advocate for the paid Pass upgrade, but the Deluxe has one interesting addition this month: the Timed Incubator. You get this at Rank 20, and it will activate upon being obtained and remain active until a week after the GO Pass ends. During that time, it is an unlimited-use Incubator. A perfect excuse to get your steps in this September.

Pokémon Go is available to download from the App Store and Google Play.
