It has been far too long since I have been able to nerd out about Warframe, but happily, those cold, hard days are gone. For today, we discuss the cold, hard days ahead, as Digital Extremes have shown off a bit of what we can look forward to in Iceblade of Narin, coming September 23rd.

Players will head back to the Zariman shipwreck and dive into the history of Narin, the 66th Warframe. With her Nunchasa bow and twin Aksondol ice pistols, she will take charge of any battlefield with her ice-themed crowd control. Take a look at the video below to see Narin deep-freeze an army of foes.

For those who prefer the classics- if 2023 can be called such, probably not- Citrine is getting the Prime treatment. This boosted form will arrive with the Steflos Prime shotgun and the Corufell Prime scythe, along with an assortment of accessories to purchase or, in Warframe fashion, earn completely free.

Two Warframes not enough? Then what about a reworked Banshee, for even more free? Simply log in between September 23rd and October 07th to claim this reconfigured Warframe, along with a Forma. You can complete the set with a deluxe skin for her, and one for Qorvex, because why not?

Now you have your expanded army; let’s look at the new missions. Narin’s Crest has popped up on Yuvan Peak, creating a new Relay Hub to explore. You can also team up with 5 friends for the Glacial Defiance mode. This takes a new look at existing mission levels, and completing it will send you to the Melica’s Labroom area. This will trigger Entropic Eximus enemies to spawn in Zariman missions, dropping resources to trade for update-themed items.

Iceblade of Narin is all well and good, but we can’t forget Tau is coming soon. All players, old and new, can head to Eris to take part in a once-in-a-lifetime community event landing October 15th. Gathering Moonflesh to fuel our jump to the Tau Star System will earn event-exclusive rewards and get that hype flowing. Completing The Hex and The Old Peace will also unlock the Prologue to the Tau mission; however, this is not required for the community event.

Warframe is available to download from the App Store and Google Play. Plus, from September 23rd, it will also be on the Samsung Galaxy Store.
